Will I need to upgrade or change my tracking?

Your integration and tracking links will continue to work once your account has been upgraded. However, we do advise all upgraded advertisers to update their tracking once you are on the Awin platform.

If you were previously using ShareASale plugins like Shopify, WooCommerce, etc., read our step-by-step guide to update your ecommerce plugin. Once the Awin tracking is successfully set up, don’t forget to remove the ShareASale app or plugin to avoid any potential tracking conflicts. For other tracking solutions check out our Developer Success Center, or you can contact us-technicalsupport@awin.com.

Will my historical data move to the Awin platform? How do I download/export this information?

No. Historical data will not be transferred to Awin. Before or during this time, we recommend you download any historical reporting you wish to maintain from your ShareASale account, as after a period of time following your upgrade, your ShareASale account will no longer be accessible.

To download bulk, oversized reports of your Transactions you can visit Reports > Download CSV (https://account.shareasale.com/m-downloadReport.cfm)

  • Here you can select the date range for export to generate a downloadable version of the Transaction Detail Report for extended transaction history.

Additionally, the Merchant API can be used to pull historical reporting in a programmatic fashion. To access the Merchant API and documentation visit Tools > Merchant API (https://account.shareasale.com/m-apiips.cfm).

To download bulk, oversized Activity Detail Reports you can visit Reports > Download (.CSV) (https://account.shareasale.com/a-report-new.cfm).

  • Here you can select the date range for export to generate a downloadable version of the Activity Detail Report for extended transaction history (this bulk tool only allows reporting dating back to 2019.)

Additionally, the Affiliate API can be used to pull historical reporting in a programmatic fashion. To access the Affiliate API and documentation visit Reports > API Reporting (https://account.shareasale.com/a-apimanager.cfm).

After the upgrade, if I have integrated sites other than US, such as CA and AU, on ShareASale, will those also be usable on Awin?

If you are using Stores Connect on ShareASale then these URLs will carry over to Awin under a single program. There will be some limitations in terms of reporting, but it will be comparable to what the customer has on Awin today.

How can we track the performance of our campaigns during the transition period?

Tracking will not be disrupted. Sales will continue to track in your ShareASale account during the upgrade. Once your upgrade is complete and tracking is switched, sales will then record in the Awin platform including cookie sales.

Will there be any disruption in tracking our affiliate marketing activities?

No. Sales will continue to track in your ShareASale account. Once you Awin account is setup and tracking is switched, your sales will then start to track in your Awin account, including any cookies sales.

Will I have to reintegrate with Awin APIs?

Yes. If you are currently using API calls to pull data on SAS you will need to re-setup API connections with Awin. You can access the Awin Developer Center for all API documentation.

How will the CPI initiative impact ShareASale clients?

No, clients will not be impacted by the Conversion Protection Initiative (CPI) during the upgrade.
