Will my current rates or pricing change?
No. Awin will extend current pricing and rates for 2025. Awin reserves the right to reassess pricing after this time.
Will our contract/agreement change?
Your current agreement will be transferred to Awin and existing rates will not change in 2025. Upon sign in to your Awin account you will be prompted to accept an agreement with Awin platform terms and conditions.
What will happen to my account balance on ShareASale?
For an interim period, your account balance will be used to cover activity on both platforms. Your account balance will be transferred over to Awin once your account upgrade is complete.
Will advertisers with low funds/no funds be upgraded to Awin?
No. If your account balance is negative your account will not be upgraded to Awin. In order to take advantage of the Awin upgrade opportunity please ensure your account is properly funded and remains positive.
Will I receive a new Merchant ID?
Yes. During the upgrade you will receive your new Awin MID.
Will validations work the same on Awin as they do on ShareASale?
When an account is moved over to Awin you will be transitioned to an auto-validation period. If your account is set to a standard lock date then this will translate to a 50 day auto-validation period. This means that a transaction will approve automatically after the time period specified unless you manually approve/decline them ahead of this time frame.
If you are on a custom lock period then the same lock period will translate to the equivalent auto-validation period on Awin.
Will cookie periods remain?
Yes. Cookie periods will remain the same and carry over during the upgrade.
Will all live offers and run dates carry over to Awin?
Yes. All offers will carry over to Awin with the applicable start and end dates.
I already have a program on Awin and receive invoices for payment will my upgraded account be the same?
All upgraded accounts will be moved to Awin with their existing ShareASale payment setup.
Do I need to update my payment method?
No. Your payment details for auto-deposit will carry over and your account will continue to operate on a pre-payment model.
Check our articles about managing your account balance and the link status to learn more about the payment settings.
Will there be an option to opt into the Awin invoicing structure after the upgrade?
At present, only a pre-payment model will be available to ShareASale customers during the upgrade.
Will my lock date change?
Yes. On ShareASale the current default setting is for all valid transactions to “lock” on the 20th of the month following the month in which a sale tracked. For example, any sales that track on SAS in January will lock February 20th.
This will differ slightly when your program is moved to Awin as Awin tracks all sales as a pending status and operates on a defined auto-validation time window. For ShareASale customers all upgraded accounts will be set to a 50 days auto-validation period providing ample time to process returns or cancellations. For example, if a sale tracked into your Awin account on Jan 1, it would be auto-approved on Feb 19th, 50 days after the sale tracked into the platform. During this time window you will be able to amend, approve, or decline the transaction. If no action is taken, the sale will automatically approve after 50 days.
If your account is currently on a custom lock date this will be converted to the equivalent auto-validation period.
What Customer Support will be available during the upgrade?
Ahead of your scheduled migration date, support and how you request support will remain the same. Once program migration is complete, you’ll be receiving communication from our team for how to submit support requests into Awin in the future. Details will also be included in the scheduled webinars and migration pre-comms.
